FAQ's

What is the capacity for a wedding breakfast and evening reception

The main hall can comfortably accommodate up to 120 guests for a seated wedding breakfast using long banquet rows or traditional circles (circles are an additional fee as these are hired in)  . For evening celebrations involving a dance floor and DJ, the space remains spacious and airy, ensuring a perfect flow for the bride and her guests.

Does the venue provide in-house catering or kitchen facilities

The hall boasts a fully equipped, modern commercial kitchen. While the venue does not provide in-house catering, couples have the freedom to bring in their preferred external caterers. This allows for complete personalisation of the wedding breakfast menu.

Can guests leave vehicles overnight?

Guests may leave their vehicles in the hall car park overnight at their own risk, provided they are collected by 9:00 am the following morning to accommodate other village hall bookings.

Is there a bar on-site, or is it a 'bring your own' arrangement

Licensed venue suitable for BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) events. Hirers are welcome to operate a complimentary "free bar" for private guests. Please note that selling alcohol or charging for entry where alcohol is provided is strictly prohibited unless a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) has been arranged with our booking secretary and approved by the local council.

Are there restrictions on decorations, such as candles or wall hangings?

To maintain the hall's pristine condition, decorations must be non-permanent. LED Candles are preferred to create a warm mood-lighting effect; however, real candles may be used if secured in enclosed holders. The hall’s neutral palette serves as a perfect canvas for vibrant themes, such as rich autumnal golds and reds.

What are the access arrangements for setting up the decor

We typically grants access from 10am on the day of the wedding for floral arrangements and table settings to be positioned. Earlier access for complex setups, such as large-scale lighting or floral installations, may be negotiated at the time of booking to ensure the space is flawless before the bride arrives.
